Draft Front and Back Matter

To: Janie Santoy
From: Samuel Hernandez
Date: April 3, 2011
Subject: Increasing Cafeteria Space

I have conducted interview with student here at TSTC, I have ask them what their views are when it come to the cafeteria whether it be a good or bad responses. I have ask all of my participants certain question that will help shed more light on the subject of what need to be done to the cafeteria here at TSTC.
At the start of this mouth I have talk to friends and family member about what they thought of the cafeteria. I have asked all participants if they know a lot about the cafeteria or if they know someone who does this way it will help me get useful information from people how actually know what they are talking about. It was difficult to find student who care enough about the subject because most students did not want to talk to me and some said that they did not have the time to answer my question or give there option. The responses I hope to gain from the participants are a positive learning experience and helpful ideas that may help the cafeteria for the better. One of my main sources where I got a lot of information was from members of my family that have attended TSTC back when it was starting off. My father and mother both went to TSTC around the 1980 so they know about the school and what kind of improvement still needs to be made for the school cafeteria. All participants were people who spend a lot of time at the cafeteria and people who have purchase food there on a daily bases. Most participants I found gave me a lot of information and most of it was very useful for my recommendation report, some even talk for hours telling me what they thought about the cafeteria.
This School need to improve the cafeteria for their students and make smart decisions on how to change the cafeteria but can make more money in the long run. The school just need to fix up the cafeteria to the point to where the consumer is able to leave faster and also they may have more students go to the cafeteria to eat there if they added more of a verity of food to eat. Student should care enough to voice their options because some of what we say can be done and implemented by the school.

Back Matter
Recommendation and Conclusion
After interviewing all the students, teachers, and workers the general idea I think they all want are as followed:
 Have two lines to help serve food quicker
 Hire more help during lunch rush
 Get people with sparking personality
The concerns in this report are very useful and they are needed for this report because you cannot have a recommendation report without some problems to begin with. I liked some of the negative comments that were said by Leo Perez because it will help us try harder and meet the demand of the consumer which in this case is the students.
To keep the student here so that they can spend money, we must find a way to make the lunch room bigger so we can have more room to move through and also to make an extra line to speed up the service. Hiring extra help during the lunch rush is a good idea because it will help the consumer get there food in a more efficient manner and have time to eat while talking to their friends. An important factor to take into consideration is who is serving the food because if you are talking to the lunch worker who is serving your food you develop a common interest with them which makes you feel good when you leave.
At this time I would like to thank all the people who took time out of there busy schedule to answer my questions about the cafeteria’s improvements. I would like to give a special thanks to the students, instructors, and the workers that gave the information to help me write this report. I could not have written some of the most interesting opinions in report without their help.

intro and background sections (Draft)

The purpose of this report is to see what the students deal with during their lunch time at TSTC. From what I can see the cafeteria at TSTC needs some changes to make it welcoming to the students, it is in need of a makeover. I go to the cafeteria often; it might be good ideas to poll the students and ask them what changes if any the cafeteria is need of.
I have some ideas of my own and I have also included what some the students had to say and some ideas the students think would help improve the cafeteria. For the record I am not asking for you to use tons of money to completely change the cafeteria but there are areas that need attention.
I conducted my own little survey; I interviewed some students and took pictures that have been included in my report which will help show you that we need to take care of this problem now. The interviews that are in this report are some opinions the students have about how the cafeteria runs things and want kind of simple but effective thing TSTC can do to help improve it.
Another purpose for these interviews is to get the correct data we need to start changing some of the problem the cafeteria has. The interviews with the student have input from the students to help get TSTC started on what changes need to be done and how to change the cafeteria for the better. When asked the students were willing to comment on what improvements are needed so that they know there concerns are being addressed? So all that is left to do is use the entire interview taken and use the data that was collected to help put TSTC on the right path and make the cafeteria a better place to eat lunch.
